  • Spring brings joy.

Spring days are here and that brings me joy. It's not my favorite season, but it's a close second to fall as I love the weather and new life that is blooming and sprouting. The colors and smells are just as glorious to take in. Being outside as much as possible is perfect for me and spring welcomes that opportunity.

  • Good wins.

About a year ago I knew I had to do something differently for myself, my situation, and for my children. I made the decision to start a business. I never thought or even imagined doing this. It's not something that I thought I could do, especially do on my own. I needed and wanted (yes! both of those things) to do something that would highlight the importance of relationships. Sometimes we take them for granted, but they are definitely important, and up there on the priority list of life!

  • Worry.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. - Philippians 4:6

We worry. That seems to be a natural part of our emotions. Some of us worry more than others, but we all tend to do it occasionally, just a little bit here and there, and some of us do it most of the time.

How do you feel when you worry? If you are anything like me, worry sucks the joy or fun out of anything that I enjoy because all of my energy has been focused on the worry.

  • Courage.

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. -Deuteronomy 31:6

Courage is hard. It seems easier to just let things go than to face the music, but if we have courage, we have a lot. Standing up for what you believe in takes courage. Doing what you know is right or facing that big problem head on takes guts and strength, but it can be done.

  • Stay strong, Believe in yourself, Never give up!

Do you ever feel like you can't keep going, but you know that you just gotta keep plugging along? Sometimes we may feel this way and want to give...
  • Hope.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

New years are always a great opportunity to start over, regroup, and just another way to begin again. Of course we can do this anytime in the year, as I seem to do most of the time, but it just seems customary and logical to start at the beginning, a new year. For many, a new year gets us to think about what this year has in store for us.
